Jean Roddey Promoted to Director of
Marketing
Jean Roddey is responsible for a staff of 10
managers in the marketing departments of special events, promotions, travel and communications.
In addition, Roddey will directly manage all planning and execution of national special
events, sponsorship facilitation and retention and oversee public relations and national
trips. Roddey will continue to play an integral role in influencing league participation
growth in 20 SSCUS cities nationwide.
Roddey began with SSCUS in 1994 as a city
director when she started the Charlotte Sport and Social Club. Shortly thereafter,
Roddey was transferred to run the Atlanta Sport & Social Club, the companyís
second largest market. In 1996, Roddey came to the corporate office as a Regional
Operations and Marketing Manager where she oversaw the Arizona, Washington DC, Charlotte
and Atlanta Sport and Social Club markets.
Liz Nicalek Promoted to Communications Manager
As Communications Manager, Liz Nicalek
will continue her involvement with New Media with regards to the sscus.com Web site
by consistently strategizing new tactics for utilizing the site to further the marketing
efforts of SSCUS. In addition, Nicalek is responsible for sponsorship facilitation
of Chicago accounts and is a member of the Anheuser-Busch team. Nicalek will continue
her involvement with the national membership program, Chicago Park District partnership
facilitation and company-wide public relations. Nicalek started with SSCUS in May
1997.
Sport & Social Clubs of the U.S. and Jack Daniel's
Extend Partnership Agreement for Two Additional Years
Jack Daniel's Renews as the "Official"
Liquor of SSCUS For Years Six and Seven
Sport & Social Clubs of U.S. (SSCUS)
announced a renewed partnership agreement with Brown-Forman Beverages' Jack Daniel's
brand. The two year sponsorship agreement extends the partnership for its sixth and
seventh year.
Under the new contract, Brown-Forman will
test market new Jack Daniel's recipes and cocktails to participants in 20 SSCUS markets.
In addition, SSCUS will continue to provide increased brand awareness at all sports
leagues, special events, tournaments and After Work Parties.
Earlier this year, Sport and Social Clubs
of the U.S. renewed partnership agreements with Anheuser-Busch and New Balance Athletic
Shoe Inc. Anheuser-Busch is two-year sponsorship agreement with featured brands Budweiser
and Bud Light. New Balance is a one-year sponsorship agreement in which New Balance
will secure an extended grass roots and integrated marketing campaign.
